Sew Clever!!!!!

Dear Parents, we have been using our fine motor skills to do our Seahorse Stitchery. It has taken a lot of patience and care to complete this Art activity. The children needed to use a needle and wool to sew their creation. Next they added a 3D aspect to their picture by creating coral and finally they used  dye to add bubbles to complete their ocean scene. Here are a few photos to show you the effort and concentration that went into this activity.

We have also taken our Maths outside to develop our measuring skills. We were put into groups and asked to use metre rulers to measure out different creatures. We then showed the lengths by placing wool on the ground and labelled the length and the name of the creature. We needed to work as a
team so that we could compare lengths and solve problems to ensure we had measured correctly. We really had to wear our Mathematician's hat! Check out the photo below.

Thank you to the parents that have been helping in Blue Room (2M). I really appreciate your help. I am now looking for parents who are available on Wednesday 9.30- 10.30 (Literacy) and 11.20-12.20 (Maths). If you are able to help please let me know. Thank you.

Kind regards,
Paula Murphy.
