Exciting Excursion!!!!!!

Dear Parents, Next Wednesday the 22nd of March both Year Two classes (2M and 2H ) will be going on an excursion to the Busselton Underwater Observatory. We will be leaving school at 9 a.m. and returning before the end of the school day. The children will need to bring their morning tea and lunch with them in a paper or plastic bag with their name clearly marked on it please.
We will need 4 parent helpers from each class so if you are available and happy to pay your own way I would love to hear from you A.S.A.P. You will need to meet us at the Busselton Jetty at 9.40 please.

This week in Maths we have been learning about Place Value and writing numbers into the thousands. The children have each been using a place value chart to gain a better understanding of this concept.

We have also looked at calendars and discovered a simple way to remember how many days are in each month. Ask you child to show you? Today we learnt how to abbreviate each of the months of the year. At home maybe you could help your child use a calendar so that they become familiar with the layout and develop more confidence when ask questions related to a calendar.

Finally we finished our Maths session with a game of Shoot Out which is an absolute favourite game in Blue Room. Here are the very proud winners from today's game.

I am looking forward to hearing from parents regarding the excursion. Have a great week.

Kind regards,
Paula Murphy.
